Religious Education

The parish is the center of faith formation for Catholics. Every person in your pews, every Catholic in your parish community…child or adult…is on their own journey toward Christ and a life of discipleship.

Life Teen International Catholic Youth Ministry Program

The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception has been a Life Teen parish since July 2017. Our main mission is to Lead Teens Closer to Christ, following the Life Teen format.

We have a Life Teen Mass every Sunday night at 4:00 p.m. This Mass is open to everyone and incorporates Praise and Worship music.

After the Mass, we have a high school activity. The evening begins with dinner for all those who will be staying for the activity, called “Life Night”. Life Nights are fun and engaging ways of learning about our faith.  Our Life Nights are educational, thought-provoking, and once a month- social. We recognize that to lead our teens closer to Christ, our teens need to be able to meet and mingle with other Catholic teenagers during our Social Life Nights. Some examples of our Social Life Nights are: Laser Tag, Bowling, Friendsgiving, trips to baseball games, etc. Additionally, we have Adoration with Praise and Worship music once a Semester.

We also recognize the call for all of us to be Missionary Disciples and participate in various service projects such as, Easter basket making for DCF, Blanket Making for guests at the Pope Francis Center for Renewal, and many more that are currently being planned.

We offer a summer retreat to the Steubenville Conference at St. John’s University in NYC where we are joined by Catholic youth from all over the East Coast.

All High School youth are invited to join us on Sunday nights, starting with 4pm Mass, throughout the year.
